One’s fashion, in clothing especially, makes a very prominent impression. Of all the fashion statements out there, bolder statements surely draw the most attention. The problem with bold statements, however, is that many people are unaware of the line between good attention and bad. This is a line many people stumble over, or in many cases, avoid entirely. This line, however, is one of fashion’s most important, and once made clear, can dictate one’s entire fashion sense. Following are a few do’s and don’ts of fashion to help draw the line for those who are unsure ofwhere it is.
Do- Choose one article of clothing to feature or highlight: basically any article that would look good alone should be “showcased” by dressing down.
Don’t- Wear multiple prints. More than two bold prints can make one look like a living quilt.
Do- Understand the ups and downs of fashion. By this, I mean dressing a plain shirt up with jewelry, or dressing a bright, lively shirt down with jeans/solid bottoms.
Don’t- Show too much skin. Modest, small amounts are tasteful, but too much may send out the wrong image.
Do- Express yourself. Show who you are through how you dress.
